Episode 27: Do Different.

You cannot build a different life doing the same things. That is not motivational speak. That is just math. In this episode, Christine and Andrew get into what it actually means to do differently and why starting small is not a weakness; it is the whole strategy. Because the goal is not to blow your life up overnight. The goal is to prove to yourself, one small, uncomfortable thing at a time, that different is not dangerous. Different is just new. They talk about why so many people stay stuck inside the familiar even when the familiar is killing them. The nervous system we talked about last week wants predictability. It mistakes sameness for safety. And that wiring will keep you exactly where you are indefinitely unless you start intentionally introducing friction. Take a different route to work. Order something you have never tried. Say yes to the thing you would normally decline. Say no to the thing you always say yes to. Sit in a different seat. Start the thing you have been researching for two years. None of it has to be big. All of it has to be intentional. And here is the rule. Do not attach to the outcome. You are not doing different to immediately see results. You are doing different to get comfortable with the feeling of different. Because building your way out of corporate is going to require you to do things you have never done, in ways you have never done them, with no guarantee of how it turns out. Commit to ninety days. Just notice. Notice what shifts in how you think, how you feel, and what starts showing up in your reality when you stop doing the same thing on repeat. Different is the practice. Freedom is the result.
